If you attend a church that does not have an active women’s mentoring program, you may be just the person to share this valuable resource with your faith community. Here’s how to get started as a Rise Up Daughter program facilitator:
- Present the program to your church leadership for approval
- Schedule a Mentor Training Session with us for your church specifically, or interested parties may attend an already scheduled training either online or in person
- Make announcements and take sign ups for the training
- Once mentors are trained, take sign ups for mentees
- Connect mentors and mentees
- The program should run on an ongoing basis, with information about available training sessions shared monthly in announcements so additional women can become mentors
- Mentors should be encouraged to include women from both within and outside of the church community
A congregation may have a number of women trained in mentoring at any given time and potential mentees may express interest via the communication methods that the church uses, such as info cards that can be dropped in the offering plate, apps, sign up sheets, etc. A program facilitator can help connect mentors to mentees.
